Zoë Elizabeth Bromage

My Family

I live with my parents, Bonni Elizabeth Hall and Andrew James Bromage, and my little sister, Miranda Joy. My mother is American, but now she's an Aussie, too, just like Daddy, Miranda, and me. Both my parents do work on the computer. My father is a programmer, and my mother is a web designer and digital artist, but she stays at home to take care of Miranda and me.

My little sister is kind of interesting. I like her most of the time, and she can be fun to play with. I like to make her laugh. Sometimes, though, she pushes me or she gets in my way and I push her, and then Mama has to tell us to stop. My sister also always wants to do everything I do, and sometimes that's okay, but sometimes it just makes me mad and I want her to go away. She can be a real pain.

We have a cat in our family. Her name is Missycat, and she lived with my mother for a long time before I was born. I like to put food in her dish, and sometimes I pet her when she lets me. She's not a very cuddly cat. Well, she's not a very cuddly cat to me. She sometimes cuddles with my parents (mostly Mama). She does sleep in my room sometimes, though. I don't know why, but it's okay with me.

My grandparents are Lyn and Alan Bromage, but I know them as Nanna and Grandpop. Grandpop has been studying our family history, and made a family tree that goes back a couple of centuries!

I have two uncles, David and Greg. I see Uncle Greg and Auntie Robyn pretty often. I got my first balloon at Uncle Greg and Auntie Robyn's engagement party, but I was too little to really pay much attention at their wedding (I did like eating the chocolate wedding cake Mama and Daddy brought back for me from the reception, though!). Uncle Greg always gives me toys that make noise. It's a joke between Greg and Mama, I think. So far he's given me a xylophone, a drum, a rattling frog, a toy car that has a horn that beeps, cymbals, a duck that quacks, and a couple other "noisy" things. I think he's pretty cool.

Uncle David lives in Canberra and I don't see him very often, but I love it when he visits. He gives me chicken bikkies (crackers) and other treats and will play games with me and let me sit on him.

Then there are a whole bunch of aunties and uncles, most of them great-aunts or even great-great ones. There are a whole bunch of cousins, too. Lots of them! Some of them are even close to my age, and now there are a couple who are younger, too.

Mostly, I think it's just good that I have lots and lots of people who love me.
